Love is a Choice
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
There is a common misperception that love is a feeling. Yes, people do feel love towards other people, but that feeling does not stick around forever. The couples that stand the test of time are the ones that realize that love is not only a feeling and 'choose' to stick it out whether they sometimes 'feel' like it or not. Love is a choice. Everyday I have to decide to love my husband and I have to decide to love my God.
Do you have what it takes to choose to love God even when the times are tough? Even when you don't 'feel' His presence in your life?
Love is a choice. Will you choose to love God? He's already chosen to love you!
Dare
Today choose to show kindness or love to someone whom you don't know or don't like. Do it as a symbolic act of how God loves us even when we act unlovable.
