I'm so sorry I forgot to post this last night!
Love always protects
1 Corinthians 13:7 "Love always protects"
Just as a parent is protective over their child, or an animal over their young, so we need to be protective over our hearts. Things we may need to protect ourselves from:
Harmful influences - "Are you allowing certain habits to poison you? The internet and television can be productive and enjoyable additions to you life, but they can also bring in destructive content and drain away precious hours from your relationships."
Unhealthy relationships - "Not everyone has the material to be a good friend." Choose carefully because your friends are going to be the ones who help shape your values and influence your thinking.
Parasites - "A parasite is anything that latches onto you and sucks the life out of your relationships. They're usually in the form of addictions." Drugs, alcohol, etc. can all steal away your heart from God and from others who love you.
Guard your heart and evaluate if there's anything that you need to be protecting your heart from right now.
Dare
Is there something hindering your relationship with God? Make an effort to remove that hinderance. Pray to God to help you.
