Love Believes the Best

Do you find it is easy to see the negative in other people? Do you find your thoughts always taking a negative spin about certain people? God has called us to 'love our neighbors as we love ourselves'. This does not just include our neighbors who we get along with. It means everyone, including our parents, siblings, and worst enemies!
"Love chooses to believe the best about people. It gives them the benefit of the doubt. It refuses to fill the unknowns with negative assumptions. And when our worst hopes are proven to be true, love makes every effort to deal with them and move forward. As much as possible, love focuses on the positive." Love Dare
Yesterday we had to work on not reacting in anger. Today we need to evaluate how we view others. Do we see the best in others? After all not one of us is perfect. Yes someone may have bad qualitites, but they also have good qualities - and those are the ones we need to focus on.
Dare
Get a sheet of paper. Spend a few minutes writing out positive things about your parents (for those of us this does not apply to -pick someone else in your life). Put this sheet away in a secret place for another day, there is a plan and a purpose for this. Today pick one of the positive attributes and thank your parents for having this characteristic.
